Located in Dun’ao Village in Xiangshan, Ningbo, this farm field renovation by Practice on Earth and Increments Studio reimagines three disused structures across a working rice field as a series of playful landscape interventions. The project, named for its inflatable cloud forms, pairs steel containers with PVC inflatables to create three distinct programs: a Cloud Cafe, a Leaning Cinema, and a Secret Reading Room. The design grew out of a belief that the relationship between the body and nature can be lighthearted and playful, expressed through a series of short poems and illustrations rather than typical architectural frameworks....… see more here
