In the vast landscape of the Tengger Desert, a small cluster of 3D-printed structures designed by designRESERVE, is a modular campsite created to provide shelter and facilities for volunteers working to stop the desert’s expansion.
The Tengger Desert, China’s fourth-largest desert, has long been a source of sandstorms affecting much of East Asia. Over the past decades, large-scale planting initiatives have been carried out to stabilize the desert’s edge and restore vegetation.
