DARK MARBLE
APPARTEMENT XVI by Studio Razavi Architecture shows how dark marble can turn a simple bathroom into a moment of sophisticated luxury.
PATTERNS, PATTERNS, PATTERNS
In Melinda Stevens’ London house, patterns bring life to the space while the blue-and-white palette keeps it refined. The addition of wood in a herringbone pattern adds warmth. Proof that blue and wood always look good together.
COPPER FITTINGS
The Marina by Cometa Architects balance microcement floor and wall finishes with glowing copper details, turning exposed installations into decorative elements.
ZELLIGE TILES
House Umbria by Maria Speake of Retrouvius make use of Zellige tiles which brings texture and depth through their natural imperfections. Handcrafted in Morocco, each tile has a unique glaze and tone that gives bathrooms a warm, rustic, and elegant feel.
OLD WITH NEW
In Kathryn Tyler’s Cornwall house, an old barn table becomes the bathroom counter. A simple way to mix old and new. The rustic piece grounds the modern design, adding warmth and character to the cottage.
OPEN PLAN
No. 5 – Renovation in El Viso by EME157 makes use of an open-plan layout where the bedroom and bathroom are in one large space. This allows the wood from the bedroom to continue into the bath, while marble surfaces of the bathtub and basins add contrast.
CONTRAST MATERIALS
In Lonika Chande’s house, contrast defines the bathroom. A soft pink bath stands out against blue grey tongue-and-groove walls. The mix of color and texture gives the space personality without losing its refined feel.
WOOD EVERYWHERE
Beatty Street Loft by Falken Reynolds Interiors use wood across walls and floors to create a bathroom that feels both refined and warm. The continuous use of timber brings softness and elegance to create this modern space.
