• Sanya Farm Lab by CLOU Architects designed a deep wood grid façade that reduces solar heat gain by 70% while promoting airflow. Inspired by the traditional houses of Hainan’s Li ethnic group, the structure balances performance with local cultural reference.

  • Brühl City Hall and Library by JSWD is now live on our website! Located in Brühl, Germany, the project extends and renovates the historic town hall with a new brick structure that houses municipal offices and a public library.

  • The project is a crafts market and cultural center designed for local artisans and producers while the region’s growing tourism industry near the Mayan archaeological sites grow. Built with an 8×8-meter structural grid, the building uses a lightweight steel frame and clay brick cladding to create a resilient, low-maintenance structure. Its vaulted roof is formed like an inverted umbrella, encloses 50 stalls around two green courtyards.

  • Designed by NAMO Architecture, Nest is inspired by a birdhouse, the compact volume is layered and staggered to create nesting spaces within the facade, allowing birds, bats, and insects to inhabit the structure alongside its guests. Raised on slender black steel legs, the tiny house lightly touches the forest floor, reinforcing the idea of architecture as a guest in the landscape.

  • Its defining feature is a sweeping 10,000 m² glulam timber canopy supported by timber columns anchored into existing concrete structures, filtering daylight like a walk through the woods. Inspired by historic train-station vaults and enriched with art referencing Pompeian imagery.

  • By LAMBERT LÉNACK, the extension is defined by its striking diagonal criss-cross timber ceiling. Set within a double-height shared space, the beam pattern brings an identity to the cafeteria, while also enhancing ventilation, and connecting old and new architecture.

  • The facade is made from sand-casted concrete panels, each formed directly in the ground. Although not made of stone, the process imitates how stone forms and erodes, creating a surface that looks and feels geological. The result is concrete used to mimic the natural character and texture of stone.

  • The new Santnerpass Shelter sits at 2,734 meters and is built as a steep triangular timber structure designed for stability and protection in extreme alpine conditions. The exterior is clad in galvanized sheet metal that shifts in color with the light, orange and yellow at sunset, blue in the morning, allowing the building to merge with the surrounding Dolomite rock and sky.

  • The metal facade is composed of angled surfaces that catch and reflect the surrounding site and sky. These shifts in orientation give the building a changing appearance while maintaining a clear and simple volume.

  • Sneci is a compact floating summer house on Lake Tisza, created as a place for slow, immersive living. The minimal structure has no permanent foundations and offers a modest living space for eating, sleeping, and resting directly on the water.

  • Located in South Tyrol, the Amonti Chalets by Andreas Gruber reinterpret the traditional alpine chalet with contemporary details. Behind the traditional timber facades, the interiors reveal a beautiful modern space. Click here to see more on the project!

  • The project is a family center made from timber nestled among mature maples and pines. The elongated structure is divided into four smaller wooden volumes featuring arched windows and ash-lined interiors.
